Chris Ogden is the CEO and Founder of RubiBlue Information Technology Solutions (Pty) Ltd, a Johannesburg-based technology company specialising in software development, cybersecurity, compliance (GRC), and IT support and network management for the African market.
With a BTech in Information Technology, Chris brings a rare combination of technical depth and strategic business acumen. His career spans more than two decades in the South African technology sector, during which he has grown RubiBlue from a startup into a market-leading provider of business IT and software solutions across sub-Saharan Africa.
Chris founded RubiBlue with a clear and purposeful vision: to build technology for Africa, by Africa. He has been instrumental in the development of easiPol, now recognised as the continent’s leading web-based funeral parlour management, policy, and subscription administration platform. Widely regarded as a best-in-class business management solution, easiPol supports funeral parlours, insurance underwriters, and subscription-based service administrators across Southern Africa, managing millions of active policies.
Under his leadership, easiPol has scaled into a high-performance platform, processing more than six million insurance policies and facilitating the collection of hundreds of millions of rands in premiums each month—cementing its position as a trusted backbone of the industry.
In addition to his role at RubiBlue, Chris is also a shareholder and director of Ozone Information Technology Solutions (Pty) Ltd, further extending his influence in the South African technology and cybersecurity landscape.
A champion of African innovation, he has been featured in media including ITWeb, BizCommunity, and Moneyweb, and was recognised in the Top 500 Best Companies Q&A series.
Chris is based in Johannesburg and remains actively involved in shaping RubiBlue’s product vision, company culture, and thought leadership in the African technology space.
